Hi Linda,
You are getting a feeling for it. Very good.๐
The Bogen in "Pfeil und Bogen" or "bow and arrows"
and the Bogen in "Regenbogen" or "rainbow" are diffent of course,
but related. Both refer to an arched shape as you find it with the rainbow
and the bow with the arrows. I looked up "archery" and it comes from the
Latin "arcus".
Thank you.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Kind regards,
Reinhard

Regenbogen ist ein neues Wort.

Regen=rain und Bogen=bow (as in bow and arrows?)

I didn't learn anything new in this lessen. I'm new to the site. Is there anything more intense for weather vocabulary? Words like hail, hurricane, tornado, flooding, torrential downpour, microburst, gust, electric storm etc.? Asking for a friend. I'm the friend. ๐
