Another question. I notice "Der Hund" but also "Das Hundchen". Is it a rule that -chen words are always neutral?

Indeed, we typically use "fressen" for animals, but it's not forbidden to use "essen".

Curious. I learned in school when talking about animals eating, we use the verb fressen. However in the video, the animals (mouse, squirrel, hare) use essen.
