Hallo Anirudh,

ich bin im Jahr 1991 geboren und bin jetzt 26 Jahre alt.

Let me correct some small mistakes in your text:

"Ich bin im Jahr 1996 geboren. Und, am 30 Mai habe ich Geburstag. Also, bin ich einundzwanzig jahre alt." should be "Ich bin im Jahr 1996 geboren und am 30. Mai habe ich Geburtstag. Also bin ich einundzwanzig Jahre alt."

In German we don't put a comma right behind a conjunction in the beginning of a sentence. "Und" usually links sentences and you can simply continue the sentence before without full stop. It's not very common to start a new sentence with "und".

Keep up the good work studying German ?!

Sincerely,

Anne

Hallo Oktunc,

Danke fรผr deinen Kommentar und deine Frage!

If you wanted to say "My birthday is on the 11th of January" you would say "Ich habe am 11. Januar Geburtstag" or "Mein Geburtstag ist am 11. Januar."

In German, we always write first, second and so on 1., 2., 3., so no specific ending like in English.

21. Oktober, 22. Oktober, 23. Oktober.

I hope this helps!

Vielen Dank!

Hallo, ein mal noch! :)

How do we write and say these dates when we are telling about our birthday? For Example.

elf, Zwรถlfe , dreizehn ???

And how do we write and say, -st , -nd , -rd .. Like 21st of October, 22nd of October, 23rd of October.

I checked the lesson notes, but no information about this.

Vielen danke...
