Eric: Common Expressions Used by Teenagers
Eric: Hi everyone, and welcome back to GermanPod101.com. I'm Eric.
Jennifer: And I'm Jennifer!
Eric: This is Must-Know German Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 3. In this lesson you'll learn common expressions used by teenagers.
Eric: It's good for you to know the meanings of these expressions in case you hear them, but unless you are a teenager, it's better not to use them. It might sound a bit childish!
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Eric: The expressions you’ll be learning in this lesson are:
Jennifer: Eine Runde chillen.
Jennifer: Etwas abluchsen.
Jennifer: Es drauf haben.
Jennifer: Bock haben.
Eric: Jennifer, what's our first expression?
Jennifer: Eine Runde chillen.
Eric: Which literally means "to chill for a round." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to chill for a bit."
Jennifer: [SLOW] Eine Runde chillen. [NORMAL] Eine Runde chillen.
Eric: Listeners, please repeat.

Eric: Use this slang expression when you want to take a quick break from something. Now let's hear an example sentence.
