Eric: Expressions to Describe your Feelings Towards a Person you Like
Eric: Hi everyone, and welcome back to GermanPod101.com. I'm Eric.

Eric: This is Must-Know German Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 15. In this lesson you'll learn expressions to describe your feelings towards a person you like.
Eric: German people will use these phrases when they want to emphasize how well they get along with a certain person.

Eric: The expressions you’ll be learning in this lesson are:
Jennifer: Alte Liebe rostet nicht.
Jennifer: Was sich liebt, das neckt sich.
Jennifer: Die Chemie stimmt.
Jennifer: Im siebten Himmel schweben.
Eric: Jennifer, what's our first expression?
Jennifer: Alte Liebe rostet nicht.
Eric: Literally, this means "An old love never rusts." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "an old flame never dies."

Eric: Which literally means "if you love, you tease one another." When it's used as a slang expression, it means "if you are in love with someone, you also tease them."

Eric: Which literally means "to float in the seventh heaven." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to be in love with somebody."
