Thank you for asking!

First of all, both Hähnchen and Hühnchen are the "cute" forms of "Hahn" and "Huhn". And while "Huhn" is the "general" name of the animal, a "Hahn" must be a male chicken.


So - "Hühnchen" is chicken, and "Hähnchen" is male chicken.
