Hi Sid,

Thank you for your question.

It's "der Rock", therefore "der blaue (Rock)" ...

If they were talking about dresses, however, it would be

"das blaue.." as in "das Kleid". ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Reinhard

"Der blaue und der weiรŸe". I thought it was "Das Blaue" and "Das WeiรŸ"

Could somebody explain why they are both Der?

Hi Nil,

I am sorry to hear that you found this lesson a bit frustrating at first.

I think I know how you feel. I am trying to learn Japanese and when I at first came

across a lesson where I didn't understand much, I kept wondering if I am doing something

wrong. I realize now that that wasn't the case.

Some lessons are just easy because you have completely processed most of the vocab in it,

and others are harder. Just keep repeating the same lesson several times, with a little

time in between, and try shadowing.๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Hi

I don't understand the relationship between the subjects and words that are taught in previous lessons and in this lesson. Actually, while I was listening this lesson I had to check if I was in the right level or not.I couldn't understand the dialogue at the first time.

Thank you

Hello Lavictoire,

"sich" can be a reflexive pronoun, 3rd person, but in this

particular case it has another function, I think.

The difference between "etwas ansehen" and "sich etwas ansehen" is

that by using "sich" the speaker is trying to indicate that the woman

is looking very carefully at the clothes.

Thank you.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Hello Isaac,

Thank you for your feedback!๐Ÿ‘

How fast we learn depends on our style of study, the hours

of practice we put in, or whether we have the opportunity to communicate with native speakers, for instance?

We are also all individually different and one person learns faster than another. There also is the question of

affinity, I believe. You might possibly learn another language faster?

But, with all this said, don't forget that it is still a lesson and not simply a test. That's why we also provide all the usual resources. It's probably useful to make you aware of your shortcomings and you are not expected find it that easy, otherwise

there is no learning taking place.๐Ÿ˜‰

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Kind regards,

I dont understand the use of "sich" in some of the sentences. If i were forming the sentence i would not think to include that word.

Am I doing something wrong? I've followed the mastering level 1 course lessons consecutively. However, I was in no way prepared to understand the dialogue. Is there something I'm missing?

Hi Suat,

Thanks for a good question.

Unlike in English, where skirt is neuter, Rock

in German is masculine: "der Rock", there

"er" (der Rock) steht Ihnen gut.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Reinhard

"Hmm, ja, aber er steht Ihnen" ---> Well, yes, but it suits you

In this sentence, why we used "er" instead of "es" ?

Thanks...
