When I read, I want you to pay attention to the days of the week.
Find where the days of the week are and see how they are used in the dialogue.

Heute ist Freitag.
Today is Friday.
Heute ist Sonntag.
Today is Sunday.
Every day of the week in German ends with Tag
the German word for day, except Mittwoch.
This is an abbreviation for the term Mitte der Woche
which means middle of the week.
This day marks the middle of the typical working week in Germany
going from Monday to Friday.
Both Samstag and Sonnabend mean Saturday.
Sonnabend can be heard in the north and center of Germany.
The word means the evening before Sunday and is used mostly by older generations.
