Dear Shimin ,hi ,how are you ? I study at your question , when you have article defini such as die ,der, das and adjective ,depends on the( case ) of your sentence ,for example in (Nominative case ) in associatoin with 3 articles (der ,die, das ) your adjective will have the similar ending : e .

Hallo bärin,

Thank you for a good question.

In this case it is past continuous. The English equivalent

would be "was scuba-diving". It's called "Verlaufsform" in German.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Hallo, gut geguckt! Ich habe eine Frage, warum sagt man so 'tauchen war' in diesem Satz? "Eine super Erfahrung war für mich, als ich tauchen war in Ägypten." Ich glaube, Partizip II von tauchen ist getaucht, deswegen muss man sagen, "als ich getaucht war', oder?🤔

Hello Shimin,

Thank you very much for your comment! ?

In German the word "neue" can have three different usage cases. In the phrase "Das neue Mädchen" it is used as an Adjective and therefore it needs to be "neue". If for example we way "Es gibt etwas Neues zu verkünden" (there is something new to announce), the word "Neues" becomes a noun. It really depends on the usage case.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
