When explaining a person or yourself, do you say "i am..." or "you are" in german, or do you just say ich and du???

Hey, I don't really understand your question. What I can say is that German is like English, you say "I am" (Ich bin) and "You are" (Du bist). Don't forget that there is another way of saying "You are" in a polite way. (Sie sind).
ik bin n berliner!

In addition to that, you can say:

Mein, sein, ihr, Ihr Name ist XY.
Dieses ist Herr XY.
Dieses ist Frau XY.

Don't really no what your question is about, but the conjugation for the verb "sein"- to be.

ich bin-i am
du bist- you(informal) are
er/sie/es-ist
wir sind- we are
ihr seid- you all are
sie sind- they are
Sie sind- you(formal) are

you should learn the german conjugation for the verb "sein" ASAP.
