You have not visited the Reichstag building yet, where the German parliament meets, so that is on your to-do list today. Speaking to the German hotel receptionist, she points you in the direction of a German bus that will take you directly to the Reichstag. The German bus is just a block away from the front of your German hotel, but as you walk out of the front of your hotel, you are swept into a stretch limousine. The limousine driver greets you by name and asks where you want to go. Baffled by this, you hesitantly reply in German, “The Reichstag, please.” The limousine driver replies in German, “Right away.” When you arrive at the Reichstag, you are moved to the head of the line, given an audiotape, and allowed into the building without paying. You think this must all be a dream. You are having a great time enjoying the beautiful German building when you hear the fire alarm go off. You wake up from your dream, realizing it was your alarm clock buzzing loudly. You knew it was too good to be true - touring Germany in style. Oh, well.
