You should be sitting at the German soccer game right now with your wife, screaming your lungs out for your favorite German team. But noooo…your boss had tickets to the same game, and of course with a looming deadline he’s going to make YOU stay late and do the work! Well, so what if you miss the deadline? It will serve your boss right to make him look bad in front of the prospective German investors. You ball up a piece of paper and fling it into the trashcan, wishing it was the boss’s head. You jump as you hear someone enter the office. “Were you able to sell your tickets…you missed quite a game!” says your boss in German. As you grit your teeth, he asks in German, “So, do you have my notes ready for our investors’ meeting?” You glare at the wall and reply in German, “Nope.” The boss exclaims in German, “Well, how can we go into this meeting if I’m not prepared?” “Who cares?” you reply apathetically in German, and you realize you really don’t care.
