Learn German with GermanPod101.com! You’ve been in Berlin for several days now, and you’re ready to see more of Germany. You check the prices for train tickets to Munich and are shocked at how expensive they are. “Let’s rent a car,” your friend suggests. Um…”Okay,” you reply. “But are you sure you can drive in Germany? I mean, the signs here are different…” Your friend tells you not to worry. “Of course I can drive,” he says. But you’re still not sure. “We’ll have to take the autobahn,” you remind him. “They drive really fast there!” Your friend slaps you on the back. “Don’t worry!” he says again. “How hard can it be?” Yeah. That’s what he said before he convinced you to go down the “forbidden” slope when you went skiing last year. You can still hear the roar of the avalanche…

Learning German with GermanPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn German! This Beginner German lesson teaches you all about the irregular verb “wollen.” We’ll also give you some German vocabulary to describe the ridiculously fast speeds found on the German autobahn, as well as some useful words to reassure people you know what you’re doing-and make it sound believable. And if you’re too nervous to drive on the autobahn, we give you tips on buying train tickets and how to find your seat once you board. Visit us at GermanPod101.com, where you will find many more fantastic German lessons and learning materials. Leave us a message while you are there!

I would buy a ticket ALWAYS in advanced. Once I had a porter who told me I have to get one before I enter the train and he just sold me one because he took pity in me.I would have been even later at my brother’s birthday party if I had missed that train just because I had to get to a ticket counter and get a ticket (it takes ages to get what you want from those DB people  )
thank god I now have my NRW ticket and with it I can everywhere in NRW with buses and trains (not the IC or ICE though)
