Few things make you feel better than a warm home, good friends, and the smell of home-cooked food. You are visiting some friends in Germany today and as you walk into their home, the aroma of your friend’s cooking engulfs your senses. You smell hot soup and cinnamon apples! Your friend tells you in German, “If you haven’t already eaten, let’s eat!” Who can argue with that? After you eat, you suggest to your friends in German, “Let’s sit outside in the cool weather and catch up.” What a great idea! Your friends tell you they have an even better suggestion though! They propose in German, “I think we should take a walk along the Spree since the weather is so lovely.” That sounds like a great idea! Aren’t you glad they suggested it?
Learning German with GermanPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn German! This German Beginner lesson will prepare you to make suggestions in German using German phrases meaning “Let’s…,” “I think we should…,” and the imperative. We will also talk a little bit about some common places Germans may go for appointments. We think you should visit us at GermanPod101 for more great German lessons and learning materials! Leave us a message while you are there!
