:razz:Hello, TshörmyJean

I'm Jay from GermanPod101.com

Thanks for letting us know the issue.

We've checked the line by line audios for Formal German section are not working properly. Our team will be working on the issue to fix the problem.

Just in the case you are wondering, I'd like to let you know that audio files under the informal German Section work fine. So please check those audio files when you need Line by Line audio files for now.

We're sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you.

Hallo! Ich diese war eine faszinierende Lektion!

The longer dialog fits the purposes of the Intermediate Course perfectly.

In Brazil, we still use plastic bags in the supermarket, but they have made them smaller and are increasingly motivating people to bring their own non-plastic ones.

You have to pack your own purchases, though some supermarkets have some people do it for you. It's considered very convenient and nobody complains about it. The only thing is that you shouldn't pack any food in the same bag of cleaning products, for example.

Great lesson and Happy New Year for everyone!

There is also another reason why you won't find people packing your bags in the super market. When the first Walmarts opened in Germany, they tried packing the backs for people and people did not like it. There could be two very easy reasons for that. The first one is that many people actually bring their own bags and pack them with a system, meaning the heavy stuff at the bottom and the breakable stuff on top. Having other people packing your bags requires a small degree of trust and the spontaneous acceptance to loose controll over a situation and over goods you are about to purchase. For a German that is a lot to take all at once. And how about your country? Are there any customes you dislike? Or any customes in other countries that confused you?
