What kind of things would you like to suggest or request in German? Let’s expand our vocabulary a bit!

It seems we’ve got the wrong PDF for the lesson….

My mom actually was stranded at a German airport the last time she visited her cousins in Germany. They forgot what day she was coming, oopsie. Fortunately, she is fluent in German and figured out a way to get to their house.

What’s cool about her being fluent is I can try out my new German phrases on her. Of course my pronounciation is usually a bit off….

hi guys,
i really enjoyed Run Lola Run, 1 of my fav movies ever!!
i watched it with English subs, do you know where i can watch it with German subs plz?
oh and im looking forward to see that Downfall too, sounds interesting
thanks a lot!

Hamid, if you get the DVD, you should be able to see German subtitles with it. In fact, there are a lot of German DVDs of popular older movies (like “Der bewegte Mann”) that only have German subtitles, not even English ones :-(

“Downfall” (Der Untergang) doesn’t come with English dubbing as far as I know, so you will be watching it in German with either German or English subtitles. It’s a crass movie, but the idea was to make it as accurate as possible - anything for which there has been any witness at all was shown just like it happened, right up to Bruno Ganz training to imitate Hitler’s accent perfectly.

There is something wacky going on with the Grammar and Content Questions in the Learning Center.

avatar GermanPod101.com says:

That has been fixed now, but it’s a programming issue that may still not be fixed for other lessons…

avatar elexa says:

Yeah, I saw it in some of the beginner lessons too.
